HISTORY
The Office of the Superintendent of Sericulture, Biswanath Chariali was established on 1st April 1985 under Directorate of Sericulture, Government of Assam.

SERICULTURE DEMONSTRATOR: 13 Nos
Job Description :
A Sericulture Demonstrator will work in the Goan Panchayat level within a radius of 8 km. distance and will be involved in extension work being the communicating agency between the rearers,reelers and department and also keeping contact with the skilled farmers of his area in every way providing help/guidance and any technical assistance that the rearers/reelers may need. Demonstrator which are in-charge of ECC/Muga VGR/CMG are responsible for proper functioning of the unit to achieve the target fixed for the unit ,exercising administrative and technical control over the subordinate staff and M.R workers and also has to supervise the sericulture activities around the centre within a radius of 8 km distance in the respective circle.
