PWD(Building) - PRESENT SCENARIO

Since the emergence of PWD, Building in 1977, the view of Assam has started to Change step by step . Over the years , the department has gained indispensable experience in a wide spectrum of Construction projects. Now the span of works are not confined to the urban areas only, it has reached into distant district head quarters , remote village Schools and Health centers, near borderlands and even in inaccessible parts of the state. Presently the division is mainly engaged in construction works under different ministries / head of accounts such as General Administrative Department (G.A.D.) , Judicial . Medical , Education , Sports, Tex, Jail, Veterinary , Tea Boards, Cultural, etc. Whatever be the task, the Division performs it with a high degree of precision involving optimum usage of resources and workmanship.
